Tried a new fuel-so far so good!!

PostAuthor: monsterbug on Tue Jul 27, 2010 9:28 am

Ok,so when I got the LRP .30 put in my LST,it was broken in on monster fuel. Its been good,no problems at all.I had bought a gallon of the new "blue thunder" HP8,and was told I would have to re-tune,and some guys said it was crap and others say its great.Im no expert, but I ran out of monster, and tried the BT out.First pull, started right up.Needed a bit of tuning on the HS needle. This fuel made my truck run way harder, wheelies easier for sure and great throttle response!!Ive only used 5 tanks, but so far its been great,a real noticeable difference, just from fuel!!!Just my opinion,so take it for what its worth, but Ive seen the difference!!

The original Blue Thunder was crap.... Too much oil, caused OWB problems. :(
So far, their new stuff seems to be getting favorable reviews. :)

I saw bigger gains with the fuel change than I did with 3 pipe changes!!!! Im hoping it dont cause any problems, but the power gain is sweet!!

with the reduction of oil in the fuel(hp8=8%,blue thunder=10%)you will notice a gain in power, but also be more cautious of engine temp(as i noticed the same thing when i switched from blue thunder 10% to trinity platinum 8%)...i think fuels that contain low % of oil dont have castor oil as a lubricant(i think they only use synthetic oils, which dont hold up under higher temps but dont cause any one-way issue like castor oil),youll also notice your engine will warm up faster
